strangely, the second light called tilt lamp I’ve posted.

This is designed by brendan keim, he also has a wide range of other furniture and tilt lamps but none as simple and effective as this. I particularly like the cross section view which allows us to visualise how this nifty little bit of kit works.

First upload in a while! its been too long!

I stumbled across this while looking for something else, locally produced in berlin and made to order.

My favourite parts of this design is its ability to become something totally different from which face it is rested upon. The contrast of braided colour cable against the cold concrete gives it an almost playful quality and the way the imperfections in the poured concrete make for amazing shadows on the inside of the shade.

So I made these t shirts about 3/4 years ago, when Jack Wills was just starting to become popular. My hate of this brand, along with the creative streak that sometimes shows itself combined to make this.

I made about 10 for me, and my friends.

Thinking of making them again if the demand is out there. All proceeds would go towards raising £2500 for Sheffield based charity, Dig Deep who, since 2007, have created clean water supplies for over 25 000 people in Kenya.

A re-brand design for the university of Cumbria’s Student’s Union. I was asked to create something that reflected the variety of activities the Student’s Union and something that the in-house designer could play with. Rather than a single fixed logo I decided to have an ever changing logo that would reflect what the Student’s Union was talking about and that could be recognised through its distinctive shape, colour palette and use of typeface.

3 guys, 44 days, 11 countries, 18 flights, 38 thousand miles, an exploding volcano, 2 cameras and almost a terabyte of footage… all to turn 3 ambitious linear concepts based on movement, learning and food ….into 3 beautiful and hopefully compelling short films…..

cant remember where I found these, the grain of that particular tree is embedded into each page so gives the impression of writing on wood. i’m glad there not ripping down oak trees for the actual paper though.
